Tesla cybertrack production will be very cheap

600 dollars per car

The Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck became famous, of course, primarily due to its unusual design. The car looks extremely futuristic even against the background of many modern concepts.

Cybertruck is also distinguished by the fact that supposedly it should be built of high-strength steel (30X). True, there are doubts that the pickup in the form in which it was shown at the presentation will be able to get all the necessary certificates. Including because of this same steel. The bottom line is that the body of a modern car should be destructible to a certain extent for the sake of safety, and Cybertruck is clearly not like that.

Be that as it may, production expert Sandy Munro, based on what we know about the Tesla pickup truck, calculated that the production of such machines would cost the company very cheap.

More specifically, Munroe speaks of the $30 million required to produce 50,000 cars. That is only 600 dollars per car. For comparison, $ 50 million, or $4,200 per car, is spent on 50,000 Ford F-150s. In this case, we are not talking about the cost of the machine, but about the capital costs directly to the production process of each machine.

Cheapness is due to a combination of several factors. This and the features of the body (materials and form), and ease of painting. Despite the fact that Munro is not related to Tesla and, of course, does not have access to Cybertruck, his calculations are apparently close to reality, since Elon Musk approved them.

But, we repeat, while the question regarding the serial form of the Tesla pickup truck remains open.
