Despite this, chip makers Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC) and Wuhan Xinxin Semiconductor Manufacturing (XMC), a foundry subsidiary, maintain that this did not affect production rates or delivery times.
Companies say their chip supply remains stable despite an outbreak of coronavirus in the region. The company representative said that it maintains a normal pace of production, and the supply of components is carried out without the slightest disruption.
Yangtze Memory Technologies said the company has taken a number of preventative measures to ensure the safety of its employees. Measures taken by the company include quarantine procedures, provision of medical masks, temperature checks, enhanced disinfection and remote meetings.
