Four Xiaomi and Redmi models get a new feature

Redmi K30, Redmi Note 5A, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Xiaomi Mi Note 3 can now be “woken up” by voice.

Xiaomi continues to develop the functionality of its smartphones. This time, MIUI announced the launch of a new feature for four smartphone models – Redmi K30, Redmi Note 5A, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Xiaomi Mi Note 3.

The update adds these models the function of waking the smartphone from sleep mode using a voice command to the XiaoAI brand assistant. The new function is activated through the settings in the XiaoAI Lab section. Users will need to install the updated version of XiaoAI application under number 5.4.

The function requires a certain version of the MIUI proprietary shell. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has MIUI version 10.3.2.0 and higher, for Xiaomi Mi Note 3 – 10.4.2.0 and higher, for Redmi K30 and Note 5A – 11.0.1.0 and higher.
