The smartphone Samsung Galaxy S20 uses cutting-edge software and hardware based on artificial intelligence, thanks to which the results of photo and video shooting on a smartphone can surprise even the most inveterate skeptics. And here are a few reasons why:
Crystal clear photos with 108 MP / 64 MP sensors.
Firstly, the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphone uses an ultra-high resolution matrix of 108 megapixels, and the Galaxy S20 and S20 + models use 64 megapixels, so the frames are obtained with maximum detail. In addition, if earlier cropping of the image affected the image quality, then with new sensors, even after cropping, crystal clear photos are obtained. This was made possible thanks to a fundamental change in the matrix architecture – both in terms of its size and in terms of the technologies used in it. The larger the matrix, the more light falls on it, and, accordingly, the higher the quality of the resulting image, even in low light conditions.
Working on the Samsung S20 Ultra camera, engineers went even further: it uses a matrix that allows you to dynamically switch between Nona-Binning and Re-Mosaic technologies. Nona-Binning technology combines nine pixels into one, thanks to which a matrix with a resolution of 108 MP allows you to get a photo with a resolution of 12 MP. As the pixel size increases due to the use of this technology, the matrix is able to receive more light, which allows to increase the clarity of the photo even when there is not enough light. Re-Mosaic technology allows you to change the traditional order of RGB dots to increase the detail of images in bright light. The shooting mode can be changed by selecting a resolution of 108 MP in the quick settings menu (Quick settings: Camera > Photo > Aspect ratio > 108 MP).

Secondly, the Space Zoom technology used in the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphone combines the hybrid optical zoom and super-resolution zoom with frame-by-frame processing of photos using artificial intelligence (digital zoom), which allows you to take a high-quality picture, even if the user is far from object. The new hybrid optical zoom in the Samsung Galaxy S20 uses an advanced high-resolution sensor and a new lens, which gives more advantages than traditional optical zoom. Due to this, the Galaxy S20 and S20 + cameras support 3x magnification, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra – 10x. Digital zoom based on artificial intelligence allows you to see even further: with a 30x zoom on the S20 and S20 + and up to 100x on the S20 Ultra. Thirdly, to achieve 100x zoom, the Galaxy S20 Ultra uses a lens with a broken optical axis and a high-resolution matrix. The former provides a 10x magnification, while the latter provides an additional 10x magnification with frame-by-frame processing with artificial intelligence to reduce the effect of hand shake and loss of quality at high zoom levels. As a result, the images are clear thanks to the design features of the lens optics and framing at the sensor level.
