Xiaomi released Android 10 OS for popular smartphones

Even despite the fact that all Xiaomi smartphones launched on the market in recent years were updated to MIUI 11 firmware at the end of 2019, far from all mobile devices use the Android 10 operating system as its basis. Today, 1 On March 2020, this electronics maker finally did what it promised many months ago. The fact is that at once several popular smartphone models of the brand finally got a new OS, which can already be installed, because it is distributed both “over the air” and as a separate image, which can be downloaded easily and simply from the official website of the Chinese corporations. This is an international version of the operating system with Google Play services and support for the Russian language.

Xiaomi claimed that it would release Android 10 for the Mi A3, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones back in February, but nothing happened because the COVID-19 coronavirus prevented such plans. However, the latest operating system still got to these smartphones, albeit with a delay of several weeks. She does not bring anything radically new with herself, but still improves many aspects. So, users can rely on an enhanced security system, advanced functionality, increased battery life, increased performance, as well as a host of other pleasant features that will make the process of using any smartphone more enjoyable and simple.

The new operating system represented by Android 10 for Xiaomi Mi A3 is distributed as part of firmware V11.0.7.0.QFQMIXM, which is an original “green robot” without a proprietary graphical shell from Xiaomi. The latest software, including for Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, can already be installed “over the air” while in Europe, Russia, India and Pakistan, and in the coming days it should appear in other regions of the world. All new firmware is distributed along with the February patch, that is, the latest patch for Google’s protection system, so users who install such software will be most protected from hackers and malicious software of any kind.

You can check the availability of the new operating system for popular Xiaomi smartphones in their settings by visiting the appropriate section. Since the latest firmware weighs about 2 GB, you must first connect to a high-speed Wi-Fi network, and before starting the installation process, it is better to charge the battery by at least 50% so that the update process is guaranteed to be as easy and simple as possible. If notifications from system applications are allowed in the phone’s settings, then in the next week the mobile device will itself publish an alert with information that a new operating system is now available to all users, prompting them to immediately download it and make a subsequent installation.
