Sony PlayStation 5 presentation date and sales start dates

A few weeks ago, the initial presentation of the PS5 console took place, but it was not the same event that everyone was waiting for, because the console itself was not shown, and all the time of its announcement he devoted to a boring and boring story about the features of technical equipment that it can boast of. … Moreover, the manufacturer of the Sony PlayStation 5 game console did not even mention the date of the presentation, at which the novelty will finally be shown to the whole world in all its glory. However, today, April 20, 2020, some details have appeared on this score, and these are guaranteed to please many. Initially, everyone was waiting for the announcement of the next-generation consoles during E3 2020 in mid-June, but it will not take place for well-known reasons.

Given this state of affairs, it makes no sense for the manufacturer to wait for this event, and that is why the full-fledged official presentation of the Sony PlayStation 5 will take place in the second half of May. So, the novelty should be presented on May 19 or 26. It is not known in what format the presentation of the new console will take place, but most likely online via the Internet. You need to understand that the coronavirus pandemic can change the plans of the Japanese corporation at the last moment, so you should be prepared for the fact that the PS5 announcement will eventually be postponed for a certain period, even if this is unlikely. The company will have to come to terms with the fact that it will not be able to hold a full event dedicated to the presentation of this console in the coming months.

However, PS5 sales, as it became known from a reliable source, will start simultaneously in all markets, that is, on one certain day, residents of Russia, the USA, Ukraine, Europe, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other regions of the world will be able to buy Sony PlayStation 5, but at first it may be in short supply due to limited supplies. How strong this deficit will depend on how well the manufacturing company prepares to launch the set-top box on sale, as well as, in addition, on the purchasing demand because the more people want to buy this set-top box, the more difficult it will be to acquire it. As for the timing of the start of sales, sales of this console should begin at the very end of November or early December 2020, that is, shortly before the New Year holidays.

According to Sony, such a period is best for launching the PS5 on sale, because many people will certainly want to give this console as a gift, and a large number of weekends in December-January will allow you to fully enjoy the game on the brand new console. The main thing to consider is that for $ 500 in the United States, the cost in other countries of the world will be higher. However, of course, there is still no official data on this score, which means that any conclusions of this kind are preliminary. The price tag of the novelty can be revealed during its announcement in May.
