Presumably, the screen and keyboard will be integrated into a single slightly curved glass block.
Apple has filed a patent application for an iMac made of glass. As The Verge Internet portal reported on Monday, we are talking about a computer, where both the screen and keyboard are integrated into a single glass block slightly curved in shape.
According to the publication, the documents for registration of a patent filed in May last year contain a description of how the keyboard and display can be presented in the form of a folding panel, and ports for connecting peripheral equipment will be placed in the rack located behind the display.
The Verge called this design “radical”, in particular, because the company had never used glass panels so wide before and did not try to combine a display and keyboard into one unit. However, The Verge noted that given the fact that the iMac has remained virtually unchanged over the past decade, as well as the progress made in the manufacture of glass panels, “it is not surprising that Apple developers are considering moving away from the old canons.”
