Xiaomi’s new gadget is indispensable for parents

It measures not only body temperature, but also any surface.

Xiaomi through its collective financing platform Youpin introduced the Barcon non-contact infrared thermometer, which measures the temperature almost instantly.

To use, you need to point the device, for example, on the forehead, press the button to get the result in just one second. The device does its job by accurately determining the infrared radiation emitted from the surface of the body. Data is processed using professional algorithms to ensure accurate temperature control. In the range of 35-42 degrees, the error is not more than 0.2 degrees.

Barcon’s non-contact infrared thermometer features a temperature sensor and an ambient temperature compensation sensor for more accurate real-time monitoring.

The new gadget supports automatic saving of measurements made to facilitate monitoring of changes in body temperature. There are a number of useful features, like a fever warning, help with improper use of the device, and so on.

The high-definition LED screen shows white text on a black background. It is well recognized even by older people. The device can also measure the temperature of a surface, such as water or milk, which is very useful for parents.

The price of the gadget is $24, sales will begin on February 26.
