Xiaomi launches monster router AX3600 in China

In China, the Xiaomi AX3600 router equipped with support for WiFi 6 has become available for sale. The device has become a bestseller, despite the rather high cost.

You can buy a router for $85, and the initial batch of devices was sold within a few minutes. The head of the Xiaomi Group’s Directorate reported high demand for the new product, however, the next batch will only be available after a few days, since the outbreak of the coronavirus does not allow the launch of production sites in full.

The Xiaomi AX3600 router uses the Qualcomm IPQ8071A processor, equipped with 4 ARM Cortex-A53 type cores, as the basis. The latter operate at a frequency of 1 GHz. The device received 512 MB of RAM, and also supports the work of MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and WPA3 technologies. The maximum speed of information transmission is declared at the level of 2976 Mbit/s.

The manufacturing company reports that the router has a coverage area that is comparable to the area of ​​2 football fields. For this reason, one device provides the Internet to almost any large house.
